Meredith made Creamy French Lentils with Mushrooms & Kale from The First Mess (LOCAL).

She mostly followed the recipe with the following notes:

• Didn't really follow the exact timing
• Chanterelle and Baby bella mushrooms
• Used roasted and minced dried garlic (but not powder) in place of the fresh garlic
• Use better than bouillon, real milk, and regular (low sodium) soy sauce (plus extra to taste)
• Sherry for the white wine

We also let it simmer for a long time since we were chatting with friends at the time.

We liked it. It was really good on top of an english muffin.

Notes for next time:

• Blend it a little less so it looks less mushy
