I kind of threw this together based on some Instagram Reels. I steamed broccoli and then I baked them pressed with cheese. I did some with cheese on top, some with cheese on the bottom, some with both.

None of them were amazing. All "fine" but not anything special.

I made a big batch of pulled pork last year (I guess I didn't post it? 🤷🏻‍♂️). We made it into grilled cheese.

I also made mustard brussel sprout hash but I tried something new: I used some adobo sauce from chipotles in adobo. I think it was okay but I wouldn't rush to do this again.

Make Your Own Pizza -- back to top

1/4 lbs dough ball. Definitely need to be careful and methodical to get to the right size for a pizza but it is actually a nice size! Doing some research, this was still probably thin but it worked well enough. Baked at 400° for like 15-20 min

Mine was pepperoni, ricotta, a bit of Mexican cheese on top. Then sprinkles with garlic powder and salt. Also butter on crust but next time, do it after (or both).

Meredith's had drop peppers. Caroline was just pepperoni. I made cheesy bread for Caroline and Isaac.4

Way more broth. Some soy sauce and rice vinegar. Cooked chicken in broth. Heavy on spices.

The chicken was a bit overcooked but that's to be expected.

Chicken & Dumplings [The Kitchn]

Meredith made this in the Instant Pot. It didn't do a great job cooking the dumplings so we turned it up and did a small time at pressure to cook them.

The soup was very good! Warm and cozy



Make Your Own Pizza plus Blintz Pizza -- back to top

Like last week but I tried to make a "Blintz Pizza" for Isaac. I mixed some cottage cheese with 1 tsp sugar. After adding strawberries, I sprinkled the top with another 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. Not too bad overall.

Isaac didn't care for it (of course!) but Caroline loved it!



Gochujang Tofu Fries -- back to top

Gochujang Tofu Fries. Next time, do not start the sauce until the fries are ready and let it all cook down together.

The tofu was pretty good. Could have been perhaps a tad crispier.

Hamburger Helper [The Defined Dish]. Caroline even liked it (when we called it mac and cheese and didn't give her much meat). Isaac, not so much



Birthday Cake Cookie Dough Energy Bites [Ambitious Kitchen] but mixed cashew butter and almond butter and rolled in valentines sprinkles. We've done this in the past with Halloween sprinkles too (but didn't post it)

Used How To Make a Foolproof Quiche [The Kitchn] with blanched broccoli and Gruyere. I am not sure why but the broccoli all rose to the top?
